So, when folks ask me why I ventured into the wild world of entrepreneurship, I usually hit them with the classic reasons we've all heard a million times... you know, to be my own boss, to be able to make all the big decisions and call the shots, and of course, to be the master of my own destiny.
But truth be told, deep down, I did it to sprinkle a little magic in other people's lives, to lend a helping hand when someone needed it most. I wanted to be that superhero who could give back when it mattered.
And here's the kicker - I didn't even care about making a profit from it.
How absurd, right? Launching a business and shrugging off the money talk!
Who does that?
So, as I sat down to draft my master business plan, in bold, neon letters, I scrawled CHARITABLE DONATIONS, followed by a laundry list of charities I was itching to support...
But then, a light bulb moment struck - what if I could roll up my sleeves and tackle odd jobs for people in my community who couldn't foot the bill?
I Pictured myself fixing leaky taps, mending wonky light fixtures, reining in rogue tiles, or giving doors a handle on life... all in a day's work!
Fast forward two years, and my business plan remains unchanged. And guess what? I've stumbled upon that elusive dream job where I skip to work and waltz back home, knowing that what I do truly matters. Who knew work could be this fun?
